Larry G. Schmaltz, P.E., G.C.
President/C.E.O.

Larry has over 30 years experience in engineering and construction management with the past 20 years devoted to the hazardous materials industry. During his career he has been responsible for well over $100 million of assessment and remediation projects for commercial, industrial and governmental clients. Larry is a Registered Professional Engineer in Florida, Alabama and New York, and is a Certified General Contractor in Florida. He also sits on the ASTM Committee D18.2100, Groundwater and Vadose Zone Investigations.

As President of A2L Technologies, Inc., he oversees all technical and project management aspects of projects including Phase I & II Assessments, Contamination Assessments, Remedial Actions, Underground Tank Removals and Remediation, Closure Assessments, Asbestos Consulting and Abatement, General Environmental and Civil Engineering, and Engineering Inspections. Additionally, Mr. Schmaltz regularly consults to other environmental engineering firms in the areas of asbestos, and site contamination assessments, ground water fate and transport, and site remediation.

Prior to becoming President of A2L Technologies, Inc., Mr. Schmaltz was the General Manager of southwest regional operations for a state-wide environmental engineering company, and President of an east coast environmental consulting firm. Before that association Mr. Schmaltz was the Vice President of an environmental contracting and consulting company. In this position he was responsible for the overall management of the company's operations and business development. During his years with this company, he was responsible for several million dollars of hazardous material remediations. Mr. Schmaltz also developed a separate operating division of the parent company specializing in hazardous waste remediation and UST removal.

Kent R. Ward
Vice President
Director of Environmental Services

Kent has 16 years of experience in the environmental management field. His experience includes coordination and performance of Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments , Indoor Air Quality Assessments, Industrial Hygiene Testing, Soil and Groundwater Assessments, Underground Storage Tank Removal, Closure Assessments, and overall project management of Asbestos Abatement. Mr. Ward has performed over 1,000 environmental site assessments all over the country.

Kent's current responsibilities as Vice President, Director of Environmental Services with A2L Technologies, Inc. include Indoor Air Quality Assessments, Noise Impact Studies, Industrial Hygiene Projects, Asbestos Surveys, Asbestos Project Management, Management of Operations and Maintenance Programs for Asbestos, Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments, Contamination Assessments, and general environmental consulting projects. He is also responsible for the management of all environmental services projects.

Corey Dobson, P.G.
Vice President

Corey has over eight years experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology. His undergraduate focused on Engineering Geology, including classes in Geophysics, Fluid Flow, Thermodynamics and Surveying. He brings with him a strong chemistry background, with studies in organic and physical chemistry as well as geochemistry.

During his employment with A2L Technologies, Mr. Dobson has been involved with hundreds of different projects including overseeing thousands of feet of well installation as well as hundreds of tons of contaminated soil excavation and remediation. His duties as a Project Geologist also include soil and groundwater sampling, slug tests and analysis, free product monitoring and removal, Phase I/II assessments, asbestos inspection and sampling, hydrogeologic contouring, well logging with lithologic description and completion notes, and remediation systems operations and maintenance.

Jeff Borgmeyer, P.E.
Senior Engineer

Jeff Borgmeyer has over fifteen years of professional experience in industry, engineering, and environmental remediation. Mr. Borgmeyer has developed a range of project management and engineering experience while working in industry and with local and national consulting firms. During his career he has been responsible for millions of dollars worth of assessment and remediation projects for commercial, industrial and governmental clients. Jeff is a Registered Professional Engineer in Florida.

As Senior Engineer of A2L Technologies, Inc., his project responsibilities include Phase I & II Assessments, Contamination Assessments, Remedial Action Plan Design, Underground Tank Removals and Remediation Engineering, Remediation System Installation and Implementation, Closure Assessments, Physical Condition Assessments, and General Environmental Engineering.

Nancy J. Rose, P.G.
Regional Manager/Senior Geologist

Nancy Rose has over 23 years of diverse experience in the fields of environmental science, soil and groundwater assessment and contamination remediation. Soil and groundwater investigations and remediation plans have been developed and implemented for a broad range of contaminated sites including petroleum hydrocarbon, chlorinated solvent and hazardous materials contaminated sites. Ms. Rose has extensive hands-on experience in emergency response operations, site assessment, contamination remediation, health and safety protocol, quality control, project management, regulatory compliance, cost estimating, scheduling, waste management, cost accounting, CAD figure preparation and technical writing. Nancy is a Registered Professional Geologist in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas, and Alabama.

As a Professional Geologist, Ms. Rose has directed and conducted countless Contamination Site Assessments, Remedial Actions, Initial Remedial Actions, Phase I and II Environmental Assessments, Emergency Response Source Removals and Stationary Storage Tank Closure Assessments. Specialties include site surveys and evaluation, soil and groundwater investigations, geologic and hydrogeologic studies, contamination remediation, technical training for field activities, technical report preparation and regulatory guidance.

Chris Tew
Office Manager/Project Coordinator

Chris came to A2L with a background in real estate property management and coordination of real estate closing activities. She is also a licensed practical nurse.

Chris provides overall office management duties and also is responsible for project coordination, scheduling, client interface, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, project database management and report preparation. Chris is typically the first one that will interact with our clients once a project begins and the last to interact with the client during report delivery.
